Bulletin Board Ideas for Physical Education

     

Title of Bulletin Board: Look whats popping up in PE

Suggested Grade Level: K-5

Materials: Any color of bulletin board paper, red border, pictures of pooped corn to write on, KFC bucket, black letters, red construction paper, tissue paper, spray glue, and real popped corn!

Description:

I used popcorn pictures from a bulletin board kit and wrote different activities we would participate in thoughout the year, such as basketball, fitness test, scooter ball, and etc. I cut a KFC bucket in half and stapled it several times to the bulletin board. I glued red strips of construction paper to the KFC bucket so it would resemble a popcorn bucket. I stuffed the KFC bucket with tissue paper and topped it with real popped popcorn. I then sprayed the popcorn with a spray glue to make it stay in place. The bulletin board was used as a presentation tool at open house so parents as well as students could read what fun activities would be taking place throughout the year.

Additional Information:

The students love the fact that real popcorn was used! The first few weeks of school students would view the bulletin board and ask about the activities that were listed!
