Materials: Flag boarder, background paper, picture of Archery girl, cut out lettering "Olympic Power", pictures of sport balls, microsoft word to create medal signs, 2 dry erase boards, pipe cleaners, world map.

Description:

This bulletin board was created because our school uses Concept Based Units - "POWER". I am using this board to teach students about the Olympics, Olympic unity and fitness. The board has a 3-D effect to it by stuffing the map and using colorful pipe cleaners to create the Olympic rings. It is also an INTERACTIVE board which allows students to write, erase and rewrite the medal counts. The students LOVE it! They cannot wait to change the boards every morning.

Additional Information:

This bulletin board integrates numerous other subjects such as: Georgraphy or Social Studies, Mathematics and History. The use of technology is also utilized as children use computers to research the Olympics and find current medal counts.
