Description:

I used this bulletin board to lead our discussion of the Olympics during preparation for the Hillsdale Olympics field day at my school. I taught the students about the Rings, torch, and the Olympic Motto. This board was very interactive. Since I teach grades K-5, most of the students did not know much about the Olympics. Now they do!

Additional Information:

Olympic Motto: Citius, Altius, Fortius= Swifter, Stronger, Faster

Olympic Rings=each color represents a continent of the world. Also, every flag in the world has at least one of the color in it. The rings are interlocked to signify the world coming together in friendly competition.

Olympic Torch=taught about the relay.
