PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Are you a P.E. Warrior?

Category: Behavior Incentives

Suggested Grade Level: 3-5

Materials: Cut out letters for the title, assorted pictures of students who earned the awards, motivational quotes

Description:

To follow along with a military themed school year and field day event we created this board at the start on the academic year. As a reward for "warrior-like" behavior in PE, i.e., amazing leadership, patience, overcoming adversity, trustworthiness, excellent work ethic, etc. students were awarded a Warrior Award. The award given to them was made from recycled trophies. The trophies were hand made with pieces of 2 x 4's for the base along with some camouflage spray paint. I ordered new "PE Warrior" labels from a local trophy company. Trophies were displayed in a case to motivate students on their way down to the gymnasium.
