Title of Bulletin Board: Words with Friends Category: Common Core in PE Suggested Grade Level: All Materials: Scrabble letter tiles, poster of words with friends logo Description: Literacy, Literacy, Literacy is what I’m told to add throughout all my lessons. So I came up with an idea of bringing one of my favorite app games to life with Words with Friends. I found a scrabble letter tiles and printed them onto yellow paper, cut the tiles out and I was ready for the words (tiles should be laminated to last longer). I did this board as a contest between the middle school classes. I kept it simple for this first attempt. Each class had to come up with a physical education related word. But, it would also have to fit the board. This can be customized in so many different ways, such as, make the board only health-related, only types of sports, and/or famous athletes, the possibilities are endless. This board can only be great for other subjects as well.
