PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Today I Ate Like a Rainbow

Category: Nutrition

Suggested Grade Level: K-5

Materials: Tri-Fold Display Board, Acrylic Paint, Pictures of fruits and vegetables,

Description:

This bulletin board was created for one of our nutrition units. We did a power point presentation and discussed the importance of eating healthy, and focusing on eating fruits and vegetables. This bulletin board helps the children to remember their colors and learn that eating foods that are different colors of the colors of the rainbow are nutritious and beneficial to our bodies.

A lot of this info regarding the nutritional info can be found on: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/

For the rainbow I used acrylic paint on a white display board and then typed up lists of the different fruits that are in each color group and found pictures of each to display on board.
