Title of Bulletin Board: The Path to Wellness

Materials: Construction paper, large bulletin board paper, pictures from clip art

Description:

This bulletin board is a large maze. You work your way from the bottom left hand corner, where there are two children, to the upper right hand corner, where there is a doctor proclaiming that they have found their way to wellness. As you go through the maze, if you pass by a picture of a healthy habit (such as wearing sun screen, getting enough sleep, drinking enough water, getting exercise), that is something that will help you to reach wellness. If you come to a "dead end," there will be a picture of a habit to be avoided (smoking, conflict, alcohol).

Additional Information:

When drawing the maze, I put the large paper on the floor, taped the clip art pictures to it, and then created the maze by making the route go by the healthy habits and creating dead ends at the pictures of unhealthy habits.
