PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: PE/Health Word Wall

Category: PE/Health Vocabulary

Suggested Grade Level: All

Materials: Poster Board, Colored Poster Paper, Mounting Tape

Description:

I have created an interactive word wall to support my physical education program. During my lessons, we constantly refer back to the word wall for the students to "see" the vocabulary we are covering throughout the lesson. The uniqueness of the word wall is that it is color-coded and each section of words is in alphabetical order for the younger students to easily refer back to it. I feel it is very important for my students to work on spelling and integration of vocabulary during physical education which is very easily done with the word wall. We also play numerous activities requiring the students to spell skills/themes/movements we went over throughout the year and the students know to go to the word wall for the correct spelling if they are not completely sure.

Great idea but it's hard to see some of the words that you used under each category. Can you send me the word lists of each one? I'm pretty sure of the words but wish to see these.
Thanks.
