Title of Bulletin Board: A New Yorker Invented Volleyball

Materials: Black paper, yellow border, cut-out letters, pictures that coincide with aspects of volleyball history.

Description:

I chose to put up the "A New Yorker Invented Volleyball" because volleyball is our current unit and my school's current curricular theme is based on famous New Yorkers'. I used a large volleyball as the center with a picture of William Morgan, the inventor of volleyball as the Bulletin Boards focal point. I found different volleyball historical facts and ordered them by year and placed them around the volleyball. I posted historical facts about when the volleyball was created, when volleyball was introduced to the NCAA and introduced to the Olympics.
