Description:

Each month our 2nd-5th graders do the "mile run" for time. Their goal is to beat their own time from the month before. If they are successful in doing that, they receive a shoe tag to add to their collection for their shoe laces. To add to their recognition, EVERY child has a chance to get his/her picture on the board even if they don't beat their previous mile time. If they are able to run the mile in under 13 mins. they're picture is made and put under the shoe that reflects their time... example: "7:00-7:59" 8:00-8:59 etc.. They're goal is not only to get a shoe tag, but; to be able to get their picture under a different shoe for the next mile run... Our mile times were GREAT this past month, and the children are already asking "when is the next mile run"? It's amazing what a camera can do!!!!
