Title of Bulletin Board: OHES Family Tree of Fitness

Materials: Bulletin board paper, border, paint supplies, leaves and letters.

Description:

The board is titled, OHES Family Tree of Fitness! The tree blows through the 4 seasons. Starting with summer, add lots of green leaves. Fall will have autumn colored leaves. Winter is bare and as spring approaches the braches have new buds and blooms on them. Ask your students and staff to submit photos of themselves being active outside of school. Post the pictures by coordinating the sport or activity with the appropriate season on the tree. The tree was hand painted and the leaves and letters were done with the Ellison Press. The board is a positive and encouraging display of how many people in your school community can enjoy fitness outside of P.E. throughout the school year. It also meets Standard 6 in the standard based objectives from NASPE; Value physical activity for health, enjoyment, challenge, self-expression, and/or social interaction.

Additional Information:

Have the students place there name and grade on the back so the pictures can be returned at the end of the year.
