PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Oh, the Things You can Do that are Good for You!

Category: Health

Suggested Grade Level: 3-5

Materials: Cat in the Hat figurine, tissue paper, borders, letters, balloons, ribbon

Description:

The title was taken from "The Cat in the Hat's Learning Library"-a book about Staying Healthy. I used blue background paper, a cloud border for the sky, grass border for the bottom, cut out balloons, and a Cat in the Hat figurine. I made some hills out of tissue paper and added a couple of trees. On the balloons I put "staying healthy" tips from the book and attached a ribbon to each balloon, so it would look like they were floating.

Additional Information:

This bulletin board was used to celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday during our school-wide event. Some of the tips on the balloons were taken from the healthy poems in the book, so the kids enjoyed the rhymes, while also learning tips for staying healthy. The Cat in the Hat was running, complete with his water bottle.
