Bulletin Board Ideas for Physical Education

     

Title of Bulletin Board: Don't be "WIMPY" have a fitness plan.

Materials: Two Dairy of a Wimpy Kid posters, poster board, border, paper.

Description:

I made this bulletin board for two reasons. The first being the popularity of the "Dairy of a Wimpy Kid" books around our school. The second was to help the kids see that when "Greg" eats right and exercises he improves his fitness.

I hung up the first poster (after it was laminated) as is, on the second I had my friend the art teacher help me transform Greg from Wimpy to fit looking with muscles, a headband, and weights. After we "fixed" Greg on the second poster I had it laminated and you can hardly tell we altered in anyway.

On the yellow poster of "daily activities" I freehanded some pictures of activities from the book which included Greg exercising, eating healthy and getting enough sleep.

Many kids AND adults have commented on the bulletin board. It is one of my most favorite bulletin boards I've ever done.
