Description:

This board connects directly to the language art curriculum through developing a real life connection between multiple meaning words (words that are spelled the same but have different meanings). During classroom instruction at the beginning of the year, I discuss the bulletin board and students hunt for multiple meaning words throughout lessons and the world of sports the entire year. Students contribute the words for the board and we discuss the multiple meanings of each word. This board promotes critical vocabulary development that students need to master in order to make inferences with more challenging text as they grow.
