Description:
This board is meant to highlight the different kinds of Physical Education activities we have been working on at our school, St. James Episcopal Day School since the beginning of school, August 1st. I have the board only in November and December. I take pictures and document our activities weekly. I update it during these months weekly also. It shows the variety of physical eduction activities and physical education field trips students participate in such as geocaching in downtown Baton Rouge highlighting Historical landmarks, "SNAG GOLF" in the gym, classes playing golf at a golf course, rollerskating at a roller rink, teachers dancing, students dancing , line dancing, ballroom dancing,a demonstration from professional ballroom dancers, limbo, bean bags, parachutes, exercising, tinikling, cup stacking, movements- featuring our own "Pre. K Prancing Ponies-galloping, and gymnastics. There is even a picture of me at our state LAHPERD Convention accepting our schools award for raising the most money in Louisiana for Jump Rope For Heart last month. The students love to see themselves highlighted in the many activities. Also, since this bulletin board is located in our cafeteria, the students love to show their parents their pictures when they come to eat lunch with them. Each week the kids can't wait to see whose pictures have been added to the board. It's definitely a "FUN" place to visit.
Additional Information:
For my delivery boy and as an addition to make it more personal, I blew up the face of one of our students. I painted it with portrait paints, and simply added a comical fun body with folded papers. P.E. activites are also listed on his newspapers that are highlighted on the bulletin board. When I take it down, I give the pictures to the students as "memories"!
