Bully prevention has become a big focus at our school this year. The staff has spent a lot of time teaching all grade levels in many different ways what bullying is, the effects it has on the victims and why it is wrong. Those lessons have also included teaching students about noticing bullying and why it's their responsibility to help put a stop to it.

The neat thing about this bulletin board is that the majority of it was created by a special group of students. It promotes putting a stop to bullying when they see it and standing up to bullying if it's being done to them. We have some different signs hanging up that promotes anti bullying. The white bubbles on the bulletin board are bully prevention tips that were all thought up by the students. Some of the things written on those white bubbles include "Speak Up", "Take Charge", "Find an Adult", " Be Proud", "Be a Friend". Some of those bubbles go into depth on what the advice given on there is like. This has been a good application to help reinforce what has been taught to them this year and continue to educate the students on bullying.

Our students are very proud of the work they've done on this bulletin board. I've personally had a few students come up to me this year feeling proud that they've helped prevent bullying.
