PE and Recess often have a close connection at schools. I am supposed to teach "how to play" on the playground at school. I have some coloring pages about recess safety. On the bulletin board, I made big words that wrote Amesse (my school) Playground Rules!
Then I put black and white coloring pages on the board. I put a folder below the board with coloring sheets. I put a paper next to that folder which said "What a boring bulletin board. It needs color. Take a color page,color it and turn in into Mrs. Horeis. It might just end up on the board." When a kid turned it into me, I would cover the black and white pages. It was interactive and I figured it explained a lot of rules to the kids, so freed up some PE time. If you do not have coloring pages on playground safety (ours were from our disrict), you could have a contest to create cool signs about playground safety.
