Description:

The bulletin board wording "You're It, Get Fit...The Benefits last your lifetime" challenges students to get out and be active. Activities such as our walking club, jump roping, hop scotch, skateboarding and team sports are listed as suggestions for "Getting Fit" The benefits listed are improving test taking, self image, weight management, and energy level. Also noted are Reduce Risks of heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and chronic illness. The above satisfies the SOL's for the importance of an Active Physical Lifestyle, H3.1, 3.3, H4.4, 4.3/4.5, and H5.2, 5.3/5.6 as well as expressing a willingness to be fit.
