Description:

This bulletin board was built by 3 college seniors for their Secondary Methods course. It’s main purpose is to educate the passer-by’s and show them how easy it is to burn a few calories here and there. It is a great way to portray simple exercises that can be done over the holidays. There are various pictures demonstrating the exercises which include:

Just play around-Be like a kid at Christmas and just go play!

Leg lifts while watching TV- When sitting and watching television, extend one leg out and hold it for ten seconds while doing ankle rolls.

Knee raises at the dinner table- While eating at the table raise your knees so your feet are off the ground, tighten your abs while doing this and hold for five to ten seconds.

Toe push ups- Start in a standing position, then roll up onto your tip-toes and then back down. Repeat this process 10 times.

Reach for the sky- While in a sitting position, extend arms up as high as possible; pretend you are reaching for the sky.

LITTLE or NO FOOD AFTER 7PM

Park and Walk- To increase walking, park your car farther away then normal.

Take the stairs instead of the elevator.
