Bulletin Board Ideas for Physical Education

     

Title of Bulletin Board: Wellness Wheel

Description:

In my class students "sign out" on their "Card" before they leave class each time (journaling). They must answer this question in a complete sentence. "What did you do, since the last time we had class, to improve your wellness."

For the first 6 weeks of school I post one section of the Wheel and add a new section each week until the entire wheel is up. We discuss what each piece means and then they must write a sentence about that specific category. Once the entire wheel is up, they may write their sentence about any category of wellness.

This way they are learning that wellness encompasses so much more than just the physical and we're reinforcing their writing at the same time.
