Title of Bulletin Board: Be Sun Smart!

Materials: Yellow Bulletin Paper, Boarder, Black Letters, T-shirt, Sunblock,Cap, Sunglasses

Description:

I keep this bulletin board up all year to remind students how to stay safe in the sun. I used real items instead of pictures to draw more attention to it. I used a plastic pair of sunglasses that I hot glued on. I stapled a "Walk for Diabetes" t-shirt on. I hot glued a bottle of sunblock on and stapled a "Jump Rope for Heart" cap on. I put sayings by the items that said "Slip on a t-shirt", "Slip on sunglasses", "Slap on a cap/hat", and "Slop on sunblock".

I got a lot of positive comments from teachers and parents liking this bulletin board and the lessons it taught.
