Description:

The purpose of my board is to expose the students at my school to the world-wide event, various facts about it, the sports that they have never heard of and the achievements and emotions of the athletes. And to get the students excited about it. I also incorporated the board into my lessons. Classroom teachers also brought their students to the board. I started with the logo and what it represents, the rings and what they and their colors represent, along with the Olympic Creed, Oath, Motto; listed all the participating countries with their flags, all the sports and the dates of the Games.

As the Olympics got underway, I added photos found in newspapers, magazines, online and gradually added more and more. So the bulletin board, over time, got fuller and fuller. Once all the space was filled, I started switching older photos with newer ones. So the board always changed.
