Woodview Health Fair

The purpose of the Woodview Health Fair was to showcase various types of health care options to students and their parents. Prior to the actual event several local health care providers were invited to take part in the program. Once the presenters were finalized the evening was organized into a health fair consisting of several stations. The Woodview Health Fair consisted of the following stations: fitness testing, positive parent involvement, nutrition, dental care, public health, spinal care, bike safety, cancer care, physical therapy, sport injury, cardiac care, acupuncture, magnetics, growth and development, massage, music therapy, Tae Kwon Doe demonstration, health related software, voice care, respiratory therapy, stress management, and an activity table with coloring sheets, crossword puzzles, and recipes.

The evening at Woodview was designed so that participants could spend as much time as they wanted at each station. However, to make the evening more educational for the students, each was given a "Passport to Health". Listed on the passport were questions that could be answered by visiting each station. When a student correctly answered a question they were given a stamp on their passport by the station coordinator. The evening was concluded by a raffle.
