Purpose of Activity:

To celebrate the end of the year while reviewing the skills we learned throughout the year. This was all done with the Power Rangers theme.

Suggested Grade Level:

3-5

Materials Needed:

Equipment is listed in the description for each station on the stations handout
Music player with Power Rangers theme song playlist going in the background
Power Up Station (water break) for students who are needing a boost
Station Descriptions (PDF)
Station Signs (PPT)

Description of Idea

For this themed Field Day we had several volunteers working the stations. We had a table for water breaks. We called it the Power Up station, since it was tying in with the Power Rangers theme. We also had theme music playlist, from the shows and movies, going for the students to listen to while participating in the activities.

The field day is comprised of 6 stations (descriptions of each here) and a water station. They are described in the station handout found in Materials section above. Also, you will find our banner below along with the station cards we used. Feel free to change and adapt to meet your needs.

Teaching Suggestions:

Share your outline of stations with your volunteers and the classroom teachers weeks in advance so they know exactly what you are planning for the day.

I haven't gone through each activity yet but is incredibly well presented. May do these as stations rather than field day. Impressive!
