Name/Title: Game Play Peer Rating Assessment

Purpose of Event: For students in a group setting to assess each other after an activity or game. In particular, it works really well for a unit that has kids creating their own games or activities.

Suggested Grade Level: 9-12

Materials Needed: Peer Rating Scale for Group Cooperation and Working Together

Description of Idea

Use this peer rating scale to have students assess each other on how they worked together. It can be given to pairs of students to assess each other or to individuals to assess a larger group. Make sure you go over how this works with kids as they need to be taught how to give constructive criticism and how to accept constructive criticism. We suggest you demonstrate how to do this rating system and it might be good to do this in a role playing situation.
