Description:

Since it is the beginning of a new year, I wanted to do something that not only dealt with the New Year, but what the students could expect to be doing in the year. I made large die cut letters that spelled, "What's Happenin' in the Gym in 2010?" I thought this was "cute" and ALMOST rhymed! I then wrote all of the movement vocabulary/units we will be covering the rest of the school year on different colored paper. EX: Bowling, Throwing, Catching, Dance, etc. I used this to make the boarder, but you could place them any way you like. I think it is important for students to know what they can expect to learn in the coming year, and it will get them excited for the things to come:)
