Title of Bulletin Board: The Grinch Who Stole Fitness

Category: Holiday

Suggested Grade Level: K-5

Materials: Computer, Construction Paper, Scissors, Laminator, Boarder, Background paper, Grinch Pictures

Description:

The purpose of this bulletin board is to remind students that they need to always be mindful about physical fitness. Christmas is typically a time of increased caloric intake, and decreased physical activity due to cold temperatures. Hopefully, this board reminds them to remember their health and fitness.

I first put a red background and brown mountain down. Then I added a gold border. I found pictures of a Grinch. I created a title and speaking bubbles on my computer's word processor. After placing the title and pictures on a green outline I laminated everything to be used again in future years.

I feel as though this bulletin board captures both the essence of the holiday season and the importance of physical activity. I'll be using this idea for years to come! Great job, Mr. Gillespie!

I like the concept and title of the board, but the execution is rather poor. The visuals are too small for the size of the bulletin board and there is too much blank space.
