Title of Bulletin Board: Turkeys Having a Ball Being Active

Category: Holiday

Suggested Grade Level: 3-5

Materials: Construction paper, bulletin board paper

Description:

The purpose of the board is to remind students that there are many ways to have fun being active.

After reviewing the importance of physical activity and the wide variety of ways students can move their bodies to be healthy, I gave every student a feather-shape cut of contruction paper on which to write their favorite physical activities. For the younger students (grades K-2), we made a list as a class and they copied their favorite activities. For the older students (grades 3-6), writing on feathers was a station during a warm-up activity.
