Bulletin Board Ideas for Physical Education

     

Title of Bulletin Board: Hoop Hoop Hooray

Suggested Grade Level: K-5

Materials: flat hoops, variety of construction paper, hot glue, tape, ribbons, bowtie, large sign and small signs

Description:

The friendly hoop people send our positive messages throughout the year. The signs they hold in their hands can integrate any message that is chosen. For this display I used the following:

1. Limit the sun, not the fun.
2. Find a balance between food and fun
3. Be a picture of good health.
4. All activity is good activity.

I used small flat hoops and glued paper on the back for the bodies. I cut legs, arms, nose and eyes to make each hoop a little different. Bowtie and ribbons were used to distinguish gender. The ideas are endless. I made the physical education sign using Microsoft Publisher and wrote Physical Education: Learning the ‘fun way’ to get healthy. This is posted outside my gym door. The colorful, child-friendly display invites the students in for learning through play.

The signs can be made by hand. Laminating the paper is optional.
