Bulletin Board Ideas for Physical Education

     

Title of Bulletin Board: Handwashing

Materials: Bulletin board paper, paint, silver foil

Description:

The board shows a large tap with two hands underneath it with a drop of water. There are three large bubbles made of silver foil that will contain the information. Smaller foil bubbles also dot the bulletin board.

On the large bubbles I have the following information

1. Why - to stop the spread of germs and viruses. These can cause serious illness and diarrhea

2. When - Before and after eating; after coughing or sneezing; after gym class; after using the bathroom; after treating or touching a wound.

3. How - Wet hands with warm water; Use soap and scrub for 15 seconds; make sure you get the front and back of the hands, between fingers, and around nails and wrists; Rinse well

We created this board because it was felt in the school that students were not washing their hands, and if they were, it wasn't the correct way.
