Title of Bulletin Board: 1,2,3 Heart Healthy Is The Way For Me!

Description:

This bulletin board was designed for elementary students in grades 1-5 during my student teaching semester. My theme was to transfer my cooperating teacher’s theme of the month, heart healthy, and the January and February time frame of the school year outside the classroom onto a bulletin board for the entire school to view. I utilized cut out letters and pictures for my border and lettering. I used blue and white for the school's colors and red, pink and white to represent heart healthy and to transfer into the month of February to celebrate Valentine's Day. Because there is no actual bulletin board where I wanted to display this message, I utilized art paper and sticky tack to construct this board.

“1,2,3, Heart Healthy Is The Way For Me,” gives students the opportunity to see what important tools are necessary for each of them to stay heart healthy. I displayed various exercise options, fruit and vegetable choices for all students to see the possibilities each of them can include to be heart healthy.
