Title of Bulletin Board: Beating A Path To A Healthy Heart

Materials: Construction Paper, Tape, Sissors and Overhead projector

Description:

The heart billboard represents the different areas of well being. We divided it into four sections, Exercise, Food, Emotion, and Deeds. The students are to identify what might work under each category, and after they do so post it to the proper area. An example would be placing “Broccoli” under food or “Jumping Jacks” under the exercise category. After 5 hearts are posted, they can put a blue heart on the vein leading into the heart. When the blue “beats” reach the heart, they can start to “flow” out the artery on the other side, represented by red “beats” flowing out. This billboard was created to promote awareness of a healthy lifestyle, and will also double as a holiday decoration in our classroom.
