Title of Bulletin Board: "Everyday Is A Gift"

Category: Holiday

Suggested Grade Level: 9-12

Materials: Construction paper, typed word document fitness/health products and printed pictures clip art or home computer, gift box with bow, ornament size gift boxes, small gift tags, snowflake border, stapler

Description:

I completed this bulletin board during the month of December in my pre-student teaching semester. My goal was to provide students with 10 options for fitness and health holiday gifts. By using the title, "Every Day Is A Gift, That Is Why They Call It The PRESENT," introduces the idea to students that they can give the gift of health to a family member or loved one any day of the year, but especially during the holiday months. It also allows students to see there are other options for gifts to ask for during the holiday months that will be beneficial for their own personal health.

I utilized construction paper for the background, a snowflake border and typed letters from Microsoft WORD for the title and numbered exercises. I used a 7x7 gift box for the center of the board and small ornament boxes around the board for added detail. I designed small gift tags to show students the various people in their lives they could give these gift items.

Additional Information:

All of the gift items presented are under $25. They were specifically chosen because of their affordability and previous introduction in the physical education classes at the high school.
