Title of Bulletin Board: What Are You Thankful for in Physical Education

Materials: Construction paper for turkey and feathers, cardboard for beak, tissue paper

Description:

This bulletin board is perfect for the month of November. This interactive board gets the students thinking about what they are thankful in Physical Edcuation. I put the giant turkey up without any feathers but with the saying "What are we Thankful for in Physical Education". I then ask the kids to think about it and let me know when they see me outside of the gym (bus duty, in the hallway, in the cafeteria, etc). As the kids see me they start telling me what they are thankful for and I put it up on a feather.

Some of the things Hillsdale students are thankful for:

Awesome equipment, huge gymnasium, great outdoor play space, pedometers, practicum students from West Chester University, Mrs. Lepage (that's me....how nice!), JRFH, field day, etc.

The feathers are laminated before writing on them. I use a dry erase marker to write on the feather so I can wipe off easily.
