PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: The PE Giving Tree

Category: Beginning of School

Suggested Grade Level: K-2

Materials: paper, border, cut out basketballs, white paper for court

Description:

This bulletin board was for the beginning of our school year. We do a giving tree each year so parents who would like to donate equipment can do so. We made the bulletin board into a basketball court and used basketball cut outs with the equipment that we needed written on them. Parents can pick one if they so choose.

I think this a very good idea. It helps get the equipment you need and it also helps to get involvement from parents. This also increases communication and interaction with parents-maybe you can even invite them in for a parents night so they can see all he quipment they donated being put to good use by the children!
