Materials: Construction paper background, picture of human body with muscles exposed, muscle names and pronouciations, muscle descriptions, pictures of activities using muscles, arrow

Description:

Each month we discuss a new muscle of the body. We talk about how to pronounce the name, show where it is in the body, the job of the muscle and what activities we use the muscle. In the center of the board I put a picture of a human body with the muscles exposed that I found in a book. I have an arrow that points to the muscle. I put the name of the muscle and how it is prounounced. I list the job of the muscle and show a picture of an activity in which the muscle is used. I have this bulletin board by the door that my students exit each PE class. I use this activity as closure. I review what we learned about the muscle and ask if they used the muscle during class that day. I also review previous muscles we have learned through out the year.
