Materials: Bulletin Board Paper, Letter Cut Outs, Drawing of "Muscles Man" with muscles labeled that you are studying

Description:

This board was created during our Muscles Unit. Students previously learned how nutrition and exercise affect strength and health of their muscles. The Muscles Unit focused on 11 muslces throughout the entire body (mostly large muscles). Each day the students would learn either 2 or 3 muscles. They learned the scientific name and common name of the muscle, the location of the muscle in the body, and an interesting fact about each muscle.

Additional Information:

This bulletin board is placed right next to gym doors. At the end of every PE class, I observe students studying the location of the muscles they learned throughout the week, to prepare for the upcoming test.
