Title of Bulletin Board: Body Systems

Suggested Grade Level: 3-12

Materials: Facts about the body, pictures, yarn, cardboard, Velcro or magnets, plastic bags, felt, milk jugs and red tissue paper

Description:

This "Body Systems" board was used for 6th grade, but can be changed to fit any grade level. It shows each body system (except for reproductive in this one) and gives facts about each system in interactive ways.

Digestive System: Use yarn measured out the length of the esophagus, small and large intestines stapled onto cardboard with facts to show how long each organ is.

Skeletal and Muscular System: Make these systems like puzzles. Make different parts of these systems whited out and have the students match the fact to the right part. (Use magnets instead of Velcro cause Velcro sticks to much.)

Nervous System: use pictures and facts

Respiratory System: I made lungs about the size of human lungs out of felt and stapled them so the students have a visual.

Cardiovascular System: I used a gallon and a half gallon jug filled with red tissue paper to show how much blood is in the body.
