Title of Bulletin Board: Heart Smart

Suggested Grade Level: 3-5

Materials: Star cutouts, letter cutouts, posters on anotomy of the heart

Description:

The gym doors are the first thing anyone sees when they enter my school building. During the month of February I do the Heart Adventure Course. I decorate the doors to the gym instead of a bulletin board. On one side it says: "Classroom Allstars." I wrote each classroom teachers name on a star so that everyone would be included. The other side says: "Be smart, take care of your heart, exercise is a great way to start." I also included two posters showing the pathway that the blood travels through the heart. One poster shows how the course relates to the heart while the other poster just shows the pathway the blood travels through the heart.
