Title of Bulletin Board: Take 10,000 Steps a Day to Get the Gold

Category: Holiday

Suggested Grade Level: k-5

Materials: Background paper, St. Patrick's Day decorations, cut out letters, and paper to make the rainbown and cloud.

Description:

This bulletin board is up during the month of March. I use it to teach the students about the recommended amount of steps per day they should be getting to stay healthy. I also provide examples on the board of how they can add steps in their day as well as benefits of walking. Additionally, the board supports lessons where the students use pedometers.
The rainbow represents the steps being taken to reach a goal and the pot of gold are the benefits that come from walking/moving.
