Title of Bulletin Board: Staying Active in Winter

Category: Seasons (Fall, Spring, etc.)

Suggested Grade Level: k-2

Materials: Construction paper, chalk, die cut letters

Description:

The bulletin board shows a "Jack Frost" type of character who is at a winter bowling alley. The bowling pins are snowmen and the bowling ball is a screaming animated ball. We try to emphasis that even though it is cold outside, there are other physical activities that can be done. One of the students favorite winter units is our bowling. We do traditional bowling , but we also do bowling stations where each lane is bowled differently. For example we might have a playground ball tied to a rope, or you push someone on a scooter down to the pins, try to knock them down air hockey style, and of course one of the stations is the Wii bowling.
