Description:

The purpose for this bulletin board was to create a discussion time in class for students to reflect on why it is important to have pe class. I was impressed with the answers I recieved even from the kindergartners.

I used construction paper to make a giant turkey. I gave the turkey running shoes and above his head I put in die-cut letters "Thankful for PE because". I had students in grades K-5 as a class pick two reasons why they are thankful they have physical education class. I then had two students write those two reasons on a cut out of either a turkey, a pilgrim hat or a leaf. After I collected all the reasons from each class I hung them on the bulletin board around the turkey.
