PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Motivational Quotes

Category: Motivation

Suggested Grade Level: 6-12

Materials: Ellison die cut letters, construction paper, computer, clip art, quotes

Description:

Put this board up any time you want to motivate your students to excel. I use the board in the cafeteria where the students go every day. I put this board up while we are training for our district track meet to motivate the kids to do their best! The quotes are all about working hard to be successful which is a great message to give the kids any time of the year!!! We used quotes from people from a variety of sports. The pictures are examples of teams winning who prepared hard. The teams are local to our area.

"The only place where success comes before hard work is in the dictionary" ~Vidal Sassoon
"Nobody whoever gave his best regretted it" ~George Halas
"If you train hard, you'll not only be hard, you'll be hard to beat" ~Herschel Walker
"I figure practice puts your brains in your muscles" ~Sam Snead
"The will to win is important, but the will to prepare is vital" ~Joe Paterno
"Success isn't something that just happens-success is learned, success is practiced and then it is shared" ~Sparky Anderson
"I want to be remembered as the guy who gave his all whenever he was on the field" ~Walter Payton
