Title of Bulletin Board: Muscle of the Month

Category: About the Body

Suggested Grade Level: 3-5

Materials: picture of human body, leters, facts about human body

Description:

I think it is very imporant for students to know about their body and how it works so the board Musle of the Month was created. When students are stretching, performing activities, or playing a game I try to integrate the "Muscle of the Month" to what we are doing in class. They become more knowledgable about their body, and by the end of the month they are able to verbally recite what sports are best for the muscle, and demonstrate which stretches pertain to that muscle group. I can assess students on the muscle by having them point to where it is on their body, or show me where it is on a skeleton we have in class. They seem to get excited when a new muscle goes up each month.

Great idea and thanks for sharing. "Quadriceps" is spelled wrong on your bulliten board. Yikes!

I liked your bulletin board but thought you should know you spelled quadricep incorrectly.
You should make sure you change that.
