Description:

In our gym we have a huge wall between the gym and the music room, which is pushed back to make a stage for assemblies. Each year I have a theme for the gym and put up a bulletin board with the theme emphasizing Fitness, Nutrition, and Character. This year the theme is "FUEL UP", so each section of the huge wall emphasizes "FUEL UP with Nutrition; FUEL UP with Fitness; and FUEL UP with Character. The nutrition section emphasizes the food groups; the fitness section emphasizes the fitness components; and the character section emphasizes my three. core words (respect, responsibility, and ready to learn). This bulletin board is up all year and is great to refer to for those important teachable moments.
In addition I do the bulletin board in the hall where the kids wait in line for lunch. It to carries over the "Fuel Up" theme and emphasizes various nutritional themes throughout the year.
