Title of Bulletin Board: Getting Fit in the Fall

Materials: We used a scarecrow but any fall themed object would work, leaf cut outs, leaf border.

Description:

This interactive Bulletin Board was designed to have students relate what physical activities they were participating in in the fall. Students were asked to fill out a leaf with their name, grade and how long they did each physical activity for. We set a school goal of 100 hours but it became pretty clear that our goal was a little low. Even students who did not participate on organized teams were excited to bring in their "leaves" with bicycle riding, raking leaves, jumping rope etc. We kept track of their hours and announced it during each class.
