The Sweaty Facts bulletin board is used to help convey the message that it is OK and healthy to sweat. I posted facts about sweat on the center of the board. For example, sweating is one of the ways our body controls its temperature. Then, I drew a picture of a guy sweating and hot glued a sweatband to his head (the younger kids just think that is the funniest thing). The reason I created this board was because I was frustrated and tired of children that thought sweating was a sign that it was time to stop exercising. Now that my classes understand more about sweat, I do not have as many complaints about sweating or students that say, “I am hot, can I stop?”
