Description:

Students ability to tie their own shoe saves you time from having to help. Each October we have a "I can tie my shoe" contest. We post teachers names outside the gym from 1st and 2nd grade. I encourage parents to work with their child during the month. At the end of the month students show me they can tie their shoe so they can put their name on a star and I staple that star next to their teacher's name on the wall.
