Bulletin Board Ideas for Physical Education

     

Title of Bulletin Board: Don't be a turkey! Gobble up healthy food!

Materials: Food cards from the dairy council, any food items (3D look), construction paper with healthy food information from the CDC, letters, border, poster board

Description:

The purpose of this bulletin board was to give students a visual of what healthy foods look like and what "junk" food looks like. The board was split in half and junk food was displayed by the "turkey" and the healthy food was displayed by the panther. We used actual packages of food to give the board a 3D look as well as food cards given to us free from our National Dairy Council. We visually displayed the food during the month of November as a Thanksgiving theme.

On the healthy side of the board, health information was provided from the CDC.gov website to help students understand choices of food from each food group from the my pyramid information.
