Title of Bulletin Board: Here Comes the Sun

Suggested Grade Level: 3-12

Materials: Wrapping paper, construction paper, http://www.skincancer.org/

Description:

This bulletin board was to point out to students how to protect their skin while engaging in activities outside in the sunshine. I used a brightly colored wrapping paper as the background, with cut out letters for “Here comes the sun”. I had cut-outs of suns and sunglasses between the message.

I used the guidelines for skin safety from www.skincancer.org/school at the bottom:

1. Seek shade
2. Learn not to burn
3. Use SPF everyday
4. Cover up
5. Wear sunglasses
6. Don’t use tanning booths
